I don't see why the Jets wouldn't want him back, and he seems to be happy there.

If he comes back it's going to be with the NYJ. No way he's going to learn a new offensive system and play with new teammates again next year.

yea but i think it depends alot on how their season ends like if they win the SB or go deep in the playoffs they would bring him back, but if like they collapse down the stretch and favre starts sucking (god forbid) they might choose to go a different way next season. just a thought

Well ok if he absolutely craps the bed over the next 6 weeks and singlehandedly loses their playoff spot then sure, they probably won't want him back. But assuming he continues doing what he's doing now, or even in the same ballpark, they'd be fools not to want him back. And I can't see Brett wanting to retire with the season the Jets have had, unless said crapping the bed happens.

Brady comes back next season. Favre would be wise to go with the team that he wanted to go in the first place (Vikings). Favre has some unfinished business with Packers GM Ted Thompson.

I thought the contract prevented him from going to the VIkings even after this year with the JETS???

Nah they can't put a permanent ban on where he goes. The Jets can't trade him to the Vikes, but once he's out of that contract he can do whatever he wants. Which I'm guessing will either be retire or stay with the Jets (hopefully the latter).

The Jets have told him that if he is not happy after this year, they will grant him his release. I don't know if the Jets would have to give up all those first rounders if he decided to go to the Vikings or not.

no way. Eli > Farve any day of any year...for ever.

Farve = interception king
Eli = clutch QB with dead on accuracy.

the book is out on Farve. hes a noob.

Please. Brett's play at QB will one day be regarded as the single most important reason world peace was attained. Some even say it holds the cure for cancer.

granted the pixie dust that falls from the ball when he rockets it to recievers is believed to cure AIDS as well, he still throws a TON of picks.

its a known fact that for every pick Brett throws, a baby dies of SIDS.

I'm surprised nobody corrected you yet... Favre signed a 2 year deal with the Jets and supposedly intends to play both seasons there before retiring. The Jets were clear with him that they didn't want a placeholder for a season and that they'd trade for him as long as he sticks it out and helps build the team.

yeah hes got 2 years left on his original contract with the packers, which the jets took over.

he could still retire at the end of this year. but his contract is conditionally. idk the extact details but i know the jets could lose a few first round draft picks of they end up trading him.

I'd say Minnesota but the New York limelight is probably where he belongs, he likes the attention and can handle it.
