wtf stanford? It's 45-17 with 10 seconds left in the game, Stanford calls a timeout throws a pass, completes it with 3 seconds left. Sends out their FG team, USC calls a timeout, then Stanford comes out in 5 wide and scores with no time left. So the a$$ whoopin Stanford got only looks 6 points better...WTF harbaugh?

Maybe he bet on the game, and wanted to cover the spread...

He must have... spread was -24 on USC and they were winning by 28 only a TD would make a difference on the spread. I couldn't see the game so can anybody tell me why USC took a timeout with 3 seconds left when they were up by 28 points?

I thought Pete Carol called the timeout so Harbaugh went for it.

That's my best guess as well but why in the blue hell would you do that? Was it suppose to be some macho challenge saying "hey I'm up by 28 points so I'll give you one last chance to only lose by 22 points"? Even if I wasn't betting on that game it's stupid but the fact it cost me money makes it go over even worse. Again I didn't see the game but if he hadn't taken that timeout wouldn't USC had won by 28 as stanford couldn't stop the clock?

No sht sherlock I think everybody who has posted in this thread so far is aware of that. The question was why did they call the timeout when up by 28 points.

Pete Carroll tried to pull an Urban Meyer by calling a "basking" timeout. Then, Stanford slaps a TD on the board. LOL

Epic Pete Carroll Fail!
