I just got a 5lb tub of Gold Stand 100% Whey and it has a line about 3/4 the way up. It doesn't say to fill it to there, or to the very top....

any idea?

thanks

I level it off at the top. Some of them say "a heaping scoop" but I don't give a hoot. I just level it.

Whatever.

Best way to be accurate. One of the wheys that I use consistently measures at 28.4g per serving, but a level scoop gives me 35g. Interesting to know and will be used whenever I prep for a contest.

For most purposes though, just get a level scoop for 1 scoop unless they say "heaping" or "rounded."

I am still kinda new to this so dont bite my head off but...
is it really that big of a deal to get tha little bit of extra protein? Or is there some negative side effect that I do not know about?

it doesnt really matter but when im pre-contest i like to be exact so that its one less thing i have to think about. if your not pre-contest dont worry about it. in fact, even if you are pre-contest it probably doesnt matter, its more of a personality thing
