So I'm going to be lifting here in a little bit, and just realized that I'm out of Whey right now. I don't currently have the money to go buy some more for another week when I get payed.

What are some good PWO things to take down if Whey isn't available?

Just eat a regular meal, and in that meal eat a little extra. That's what I do, and I prefer it to shakes. Insulin spike PWO and the "window" is highly overrated.

can you afford a protein bar and some milk? chocolate milk is good PWO also

So a big meal would work fine then? Awesome, easy enough.

I see so much talk about people swearing by Whey PWO in that 30-1hour window that I wasn't really sure what to do.

Egg whites are one of the best substitutes post workout if you can't get in whey

i feel bigger/stronger after a whole meal pwo rather than a shake. my favorite is sushi or grits and eggs. just watch the fat intake pwo
