View Full Version : Weight of food on nutritional facts - before or after cooked?

Hey guys. Do you guys weigh your food before or after cooked? And is the weight on the nutritional facts weighed before or after it's cooked? (Frozen bag of chicken thighs for example measures each thigh as 4 oz.)

It's almost always the raw weight. If it isn't, then that's usually specified on the nutritional info.

Here you go. Per oz raw with skin: 24.5 cals, 0.65g fat, 4.5g carbs, 0.34g protein.

I think that's a backwards extrapolation of the "Sweetpotato, boiled, with peel" data based upon commonly accepted "yields" information.

Show me the real data :D That's about as close as it's gonna get though.
