How bad is this stuff for you? As a student, I pretty much wait til there's a sale and buy about 30 cans...

I mix one can of ham with about half a cup of lentils, rice and kidney beans (each). No mayo or any condiments.. even though mayo goes great with it.

Is this stuff okay to eat on a regular basis or should I limit myself?

In one can of ham:

223 calories
13.5 g of fat
25 g of protein

I can also substitute ham with turkey. Which is 200 calories, and 10 grams of fat. Same protein.

That's decent. Not great though. I look for a bit higher protein:fat ratio. I've seen canned chicken in the grocery store with lower fat than that stuff. Is that like the stuff Karl was eating on crackers in the movie "Sling Blade"?
