Well last night i cooked my first batch of high protein flapjacks! they taste ok but could be better so the recipe will be refined.

here it is so far anyway:

18oz rolled oats
12oz whey protein (banana flavour)
13oz Olive based margarine
5 Fl.oz. honey
10 teaspoons granulated sweetener
3 egg whites
Splash of semi skimmed milk

Makes 12 flapjacks

Nutrition Per Bar:

Weight: 122g
Cals: 506kcal
Fat: 26g
Carbs: 38g
Protein: 29g

(Good for bulking i reckon!)

cooked at 150c for 12 minutes then left in the oven for an hour to slidify fully as i made them pretty thick.

hindsight would say that unflavoured whey would be nicer or maybe chocolate. gonna lower the margarine next time and add a tablespoon or two of straight olive oil.

they are pretty chewy but not quite moist enough.

its a work in progress so dont reply saying "i made these and they taste like ass" because to be honest you would be the ass for following the recipe dead on!

the recipe isnt as bad as i first thought. as i think i just over cooked it. the centre of the slab is much nicer than the edges.
