Anything that isn't a binge and that fits my daily goals. Drinking empty calories isn't part of my daily goals, so I don't drink - except 2-3 times/year in special occasion.

Drinking enough to make you forget that you drank the night before :)

I wish there was such a thing...Least calories would be vodka with diet coke/pepsi, but even those add up after a few.

If you like girly drinks but don't like the sugar, there is a brand called Baja Bob that has no sugar cocktail mixes (margaritas, martinis, etc, etc.) I haven't tried them, but they sound good. The only calories would come from the alcohol itself, which is better than alcohol plus a sugary mix. http://www.bajabob.com/home.html

Anyways, alcohol is not gonna be healthy no matter what...but you already know that. I'm going to Mexico in 2 weeks and plan on indulging though...A LOT.

None are healthy, but some are healthier than others.

If/when I drink, I consume red wine. At least your getting resveratrol and other somewhat beneficial compounds. Organic wine is beeter--no sulfites. i'd say it's probably the healthiest, but I'm no expert.

liquor + diet coke will get you drunk the fastest with the least amount of calories.

If you are looking for a healthy amount and to be social (not drunk social) 2 drinks is the 'healthy' amount per day. Wine or a good beer if you are at a bar.

Actually, your best bet would be Bacardi Superior at 70 calories a shot and chase it with some crystal light or some carbonated drink that is low on the sodium scale. But if you are gonna drink, ***t it, a couple extra hundred calories arnt gonna kill yah, indulge with the alcohol you prefer..... go big or go home. Also, rather than get drunk munchies and go to Jack in the Box at 2:00 AM, load up on water and hit the gym the next day...You only live life once, if you are gonna worry about having a drink once in awhile, you gota have a working out obsession (exceptions would be someone who is training for a competition, event, whatever)

alcohol is awful for your muscles, it just hinders your growth.

....jesus lol no comment

I used to drink a lot, like every other night. Not heavily, maybe like 1-2 drinks.

It was extremely hard not drinking for 2 weeks when I started my bulk. People would just look at me like I'm crazy. Some people are petty big *******s about it =\

red wine. I love it, doesn't set you back too much if you keep it reasonable and it's good for the ticker. If you're not too big on red wine and don't know what to try I'd suggest steering clear of the merlot and trying a pinot noir or cabernet.

like someone else said, bourbon and diet is a good way to go if you're trying to keep the cals low and concerned about your 'image' if you're in a social setting. I say hell with it, I like red wine.

dark beer has more calories but has antioxidants in it. just stay away from drinking. when i drink i always take it TOO far and am hung over for the next 2 days so i just made the decision to not drink. i feel more down to earth now that im sober. (lol?)

EDIT: just buy a jug of carlos rossi and down the thing in 1 night. good times!

What I often do for "healthy" alcoholic drinks is blend some water, rum, and fruits of choice (blueberries, raspberries, etc.) with some sweetener like agave nectar or raw honey and you've got a "healthy" drink packed with vitamins and healthy calories.

As long as you aren't getting trashed every weekend then I really wouldn't worry about what's more "healthy" as far as alcohol goes. I prefer to drink vodka so when I go out I indulge in some grey goose or belvedere, usually with cranberry. Just drink what you like and enjoy yourself every once and a while without worrying what drink has 50 cals less.

Stoli probably has the best flavored vodkas IMO. Stoli vanil is good too with some sprite and a splash of cranberry.

Uh you do know it's synthetic blueberry flavor in there right? That's zero antioxidants and 100% cancer causing chemicals made from petroleum (artificial flavors and colors are made from petroleum). Blend your own alcohol with real blueberries, that way it prevents rather than causes cancer.

I'm pretty sure that was a joke, considering this thread is asking how to get drunk in a healthy way. Breakthrough: You can't. Enjoy your alcohol, get drunk and have a good time if that's what you're after, take a day off... Geez. That's where I'm headed tonight.

booz is bad for you. Obviously the more sugar and such you add to it the more cals and simple carbs you get. But really, you can't get drunk in a healthy way. That doesn't stop some of us, but just take it for what it is.
