I remember when he was the next big deal with the Marlins...7-0 start or something like that

After his performance, or lack thereof, the other night it's a wonder they didn't just kill him to avoid having to deal with trading him.

Hard to believe this guy is a former 20 game winner.

At least he had 3 K's

Yeah that's about the only good thing to take out of that line.

Looks like he's having major control issues and missing his pitches for the most part.

He's always been a good strikeout pitcher though, hope he can regain his form.

He wasn't opening his hips enough and everything was going way outside for a righty hitter. The pitching coach went out after he walked the first 2 batters OF THE GAME to attempt to get him to correct it by stepping harder but he was either too stupid or too stubborn to fix it. He needs an attitude change and hopefully he gets it because going from the Tigers to single A is drastic.

could be because of his goofy throw technique

Wins are a dumb stat to measure a pitchers effectiveness by.

It's possible. With that complicated of a wind-up, there's more that could go on. If he hesitates too long at the top or lifts his leg a little higher, it will drastically alter his aim and the pitch's movement. Chances are, if he stopped lifting his leg so high, he could open his hips more or it could completely destroy his timing and turn a mid-90s fastball into a 60mph beach ball.

Maybe the 7 CG's he had that year is a better way to measure his 20 win season.

Or the 2.63 ERA with only 11 homes given up.....

I think once he regains his control he will return to a Dontrelle that will go on average 15-9 4.10 ERA the rest of his career..He wont have any more 20 win seasons or sub 3.00 ERA seasons

I thought he could of at least posted about 9 wins and a 5.00 ERA. It looks like he won't even do that.

Go to the Tigers and your stats go down. Look at Miggy Cabrera. If both were with the Marlins still, they'd be doing good.
