Aight just made a fitday account yesterday and something occured to me when I was calculating my BMR. When I select a weighting factor for my activity level, I normally go with one that is pretty high, because although my life in general is quite sedentiary, I work out hard at least 4 times a week.

On fitday though, it gives you the option to input the exact exercise you do each day, i.e. walk, lift weights, cardio etc. Would it be better to select a weighting factor which suits you lifestyle in general, then add in the exercise you do to make your total calories? Or select a higher activity level and not put in any individual exercises?

either way is just a ballpark. the only way to really know your maintenance calories is to experiment.
