I heard it is ok to work out evey day moderately as long as you get a goodnight sleep. I workout everyday with weights and running (2mi) and I never get tired or hurt myself. I asked my fitness trainer and he stated that was because I get a good 8 hr sleep every night.

is this a question or a statement?

If you have a good diet and enough rest, moderate exercise every day is fine. I guarantee you people do more and survive.

True overtraining is very rare anyhow.

Lifting weights everyday my be counter productive to muscle growth not giving your muscle enuogh time to rest and placing too much stress on the CNS, you may want to throw in an OFF day to let the body rest up.. You know the body does grow most while asleep/at rest
