I just had an 8 oz serving of asparagus, 3 oz serving of smoked salmon, and one slice of Ezekiel bread. It was a very filling lunch and here were the macros:

Calories: 250
Protein: 33
Fat: 5
Total Carbs: 24g
Fiber:8g
Net Carbs: 16g

Less calories than a Snickers Bar...lol

And a way better meal than a Snickers bar! Way to go. :D

Just had some asparagus myself. Looooove it!

The remainder of my meal not as nice as yours, though...
ON 100% Whey shake mixed w/ water
handful of almonds
More water

:)

Correct me if i am wrong but you are trying to get under 10% BF right?

I would have to say to eat the asparagus and 6 oz of fish, drop the bread.
Don't even eat the bread on carb up days.
Keep with potato or brown rice.

Just my .02

Low carbs wasn't working, so I am trying a little bit different approach for a couple of weeks just to see what happens.

Plus Ezekiel Bread is by far much healthier than brown rice or potatoes.

Man, you can eat just two tips off those damn things and know it later. It's weird.

Asparagus and coffee somehow come through unaltered, don't ask me how!

Anyway, maybe the fiber I ate will absorb the smell somehow!

Sounds like what I eat on a regular basis. Although I swap bread for 1/2 of a sweet potato.

I have no idea how you avoid the asparagus smell. Even my cats scrunch their faces up.

Yes, you know it's bad when a cat or dog is disgusted.

If I could afford it, I would eat this 6 times a day for 1500 calories. You would get so much good nutrients for such a small amount of calories.

is 3oz of salmon really 33 grams of protien? that sounds more like 4 which is still a very small portion for you. i know you're cutting, but that's not much at all!

my girlfriend raves about ezekiel bread. i've never had it....don't even know if my store sells it.

Someday, the salmon has 21g, the bread has 3, and the asparagus has 8 (it was a large serving)

Ezekiel Bread is even in our low budget Food Lion stores now. It is in the frozen food section since it has no preservatives.

1 slice is 80 calories, 1g of fat, 15g of carbs (3g fiber) and 4 g of protein.
