I made my first year anniversary in BB'ing. I started the first week of March last year and just got done with my workout tonight (3/3/03).

Its had its ups and downs in more ways then one. Started out at 245lbs and an unknown level of blubber. I began with the BFL program and dropped my wieght down to 216lbs. After reading the boards here I changed everything I was doing ( I was happy with the wieght loss but the size wasn't coming in....), cleaned up my diet even more, and really buckled down. At the end of January my wieght was up to 257lbs (higher wieght but a LOT less blubber though still quite a bit) and I could see a big difference. I started a keto diet the 1st of Febuary and am now down to 247lbs with no change in strength.

I had a few set backs...I strained the tendons in the front of both arms and had to lay off bicep work for about 8+ weeks. For a couple weeks it hurt to lift a cup of water. Sadly they are lagging badly but it did allow my triceps to catch up some. There were a few other bumps and bruises but nothing serious.

Reading all the over 35 posters really helped keep me inspired. I'm hoping to have a few before/after pictures in the next few weeks (I'll probably need help with sizing and posting them if anyone is willing to help a noob through the process). They aren't gonna blow anyone away but I do feel real good about the changes I've made.

I hope to keep with it for years to come. Maybe even hit the stage someday just to say I did it, but that's a good ways down the road.

Thanx to everyone here for making this 35+ board great!

When you resize them--size them at 500 pixels as they load faster and you can upload them faster to the site too. When you upload it is pretty simple. Save them somewhere in your "My Pictures " folder in my Documents and then you will be able to find them easily when you come to browse for them using the facility below. That's what I do. I have a folder in My Pictures folder titled Body For Life.

If you get stuck, you can always PM someone who is bropwsing the forum--check the top of the board--and they will no doubt be able to help you.

OK, got some pics...don't know how well they are gonna load but I'll give it a shot. Can't do before pics cuz I don't have a scanner right now but trust me, they were bad. The Save the Whale Foundation kept trying to push me in the water if I laid on the beach.

OK, think I got that one up ok...here's the back view.

Ever notice how those lil black boxes ones eyes make one look like a star in a bad porn movie?

You're looking great (especially considering you were a whale before!! - :) ) Good job! I'm starting to think most of the guys on this forum are fugitives or something the way they hide their faces all the time -- LOL.

Lotsosquats; Congratulations on finishing your first year or workouts ... that puts you into a category of 5% of the people - in its self great accomplishment.

" I do feel real good about the changes I've made." of all the measurements we do, that is Number 1 in importance:)

The pictures look great, you have really come a long loooooooong way for the year. Just wait till you see next years graduation pictures:D

Thanx for the nice comments folks. Not close to where I'd like to be (think I'd still send them screaming in fright if I wore a thong to the beach!). I plan to keep at it pretty hard. I enjoy the workouts and enjoy the challenge to improve. Barring anymore injuries, I hope to build some decent size this year. Y'all take it easy!

First of all your pics look great bro, keep at it and you'll be amazed at your progress. I fought bicep tendonitis for about 4 months so I know how you feel. It got so bad I was tempted to quit working biceps altogether and in fact eased off on them quite a bit (light weight/ high reps helps a lot). It may seem like they'll never get better, but believe me they will. I am almost pain free now, but I always wear neoprene elbow sleeves when I lift to keep the tendons warm. If you can find some of these give 'em a try, they helped keep me in the gym.
