he does have a very valid point here people. i am of the school that there is no such thing as a stupid question, and if i think it is stupid, i just don't respond rather than responding with sarcasm and *disrespect*. some of the responses i saw certainly didn't come from a place of respect for another human being asking a sincere question--ironically, i'd expect to these kinds of responses in the teen section, not in an over 35 forum. clearly age is not always a good indicator of maturity.
i see a red flag go up whenever someone gets all self righteous about any topic. it seems to happen an awful lot if you ask anything related to drugs--which is something i find hard to deal with as there is so much bad information and mis-information out there, specifically concerning drugs (of all types). it is really discouraging to see people cut down someone who came here looking to educate himself before he tries anything, wanting to make sure that he does things in the safest possible way, wanting to be responsible about it... to see someone come here in good faith, looking for information and watch him get harassed for trying be responsible and educate himself. if you don't have any useful information on the topic and are just going to judge him--it is probably better for everyone if you just save the keystrokes and keep your "mouth" shut.
just because i don't use or do something as the result of my own percieved issues with it, it makes me think that i am any better than someone who does. it is a choice. we all make choices--some choose to use or do things that others of us would not choose. whether is it is choosing to drive a car, drink alcohol, watch television, smoke pot, use steroids, go to church or go out christmas caroling... if you have some information that would be valuable to someone's enquiry, then by all means provide it. but to bash someone simply because you have issues with whatever it is that they are considering contributes nothing positive to the situation, and nobody is any better off for it.
Now MODS--did his post really warrant banning him??? he had a very valid point.

i was writing it to post to the now closed thread. when i hit 'reply', i found the thread was closed... i only added the last line after finding the thread closed and they guy who started it banned... was it his use of language that got him banned? as the content certainly didn't warrant a ban imho. maybe i missed something... i just want to understand why the guy got banned, and i hope that it was not due to the subject matter of the thread.

I looked over the original thread, and thought he was treated a bit harshly... but only a bit. I think that it might have been needed, to burst his bubble a little - since he was hoping for the get big fast drug... but he wasn't banned for that... he was banned for the subsequent post telling them to kiss his patooty.
Telling off the mods, anywhere on the board, in that fashion - will result in a banning.

In quoting him you forgot his 1st post where he told a mod to kiss his ass. To me thats enough to get him banned. As far as his content and question I personally dont have an issue with the subject matter, I work at a gym I have seen gear and worked out with guys on it in the past.
The sentiment i got from your post here is that he could have been treated a little better, perhaps thats true but he did post in the wrong forum. In addition to that if I recall, Lukamar told him that and it wasnt sarcastic IMHO.
We dont have tone's of voices, or body language here and this guy seemed to charge in without doing his dillegence and performing a search, or at least observing a while to get the flavor of the over 35 section. If he had done those two things he would have realized he was in the wrong place for his initial post.
I try and treat everyone with respect, but realize this is the web and it isnt a guarantee that you will recieve it back. Maybe he had a legit gripe, but from time to time you have to suck it up and take a lump on the world wide web.

What about “I want to get big and I want to get big fast”…..deserves respect ?
Especially coming from someone his age ?
While there are some people out there who want to help people like this, I am not one of them. Should I have kept quiet if I felt he was an idiot ? Maybe so, but the fact remains as a veteran of this and other forums, I felt it was important to tell him that there is NO QUICK FIX and anyone with the experience he claims to have should KNOW THAT.
Sometimes the truth hurts but we all have to hear it from time to time.
First of all, discussion of Steroids belongs in the steroid section. Secondly, it was evident that he was as impatient as any 16 year old who wants to get big and get big NOW. What a joke. If it were that easy we all would be walking around the size of Jay Cutler or Ronnie Coleman.
From time to time some ******* shows up and starts threads like that and when they decides they are not going to even try and be a productive member to these forums, they get banned, plain and simple. I am tired of people running to the defense of idiots. Not newbies but idiots………and idiots that are disrespectful to both veterans and mods of this forum. He was not banned for the name he called me, I could care less. Being a mod on a forum this large is not something that will NOT win you popularity contests, that’s for sure.
Lukamar told him what he had every right too, as I did.
The deleting of his post was ONLY because it was in the wrong section.
I don’t care what some of you may feel about steroid discussion in our section. The forum rules state that Steroid discussion belongs in the steroid section.
Of course the mods are and always will be the bad guys to people who want to protect idiots like this guy. This is why I am not a LIBERAL and this is why I keep the friends that I do. There are plenty of Liberal Run forums on the net, the over 35 section at BB.COM is NOT one of them.
I don’t mean to chase or even piss people off. We have a great section with many, many very good new and veteran members. We do help each other and just about everyone who comes to our section, with a few exceptions. This is an EXCEPTION. The asswipe didn’t like that he was told some plain TRUTH and that his thread was closed and one was deleted after he immediately started another one. Then a post to say how bad the over 35 section is…….. yeah, that’s a member we need here.
Have a Nice Day !

IT's not that his question was stupid but rather his statement of how he want to get big and get big fast. THAT WAS STUPID !
Lr3 read my above post for a more detailed explanation.
