2 hours Elliptical

What do you guys think of doing 2 hours on the elliptical trainer at 60-70% MHR for purposes of losing weight? I need to cut weight for a wrestling match in 3 weeks (about 10 lbs). Nonetheless, would this be an effective way to lose fat while eating say 2000-2500 calories?

Thanks

the trainer at the gym i go to says anything over 45 min as far as cardio is overkill unless your marathon training.

(again i don't know for a fact just what the trainer told me and what he said hes always been told)

with those stats i am going to say that you will not lose 10 pounds of pure fat in 3 weeks. If you lose 10 pounds of pure fat that will put you at 4% body fat, which is extremely lean and very hard to reach. Now, you can probably lose 10 pounds on the scale in 3 weeks but most will be water weight and some muscle weight.

Imma say thats a wee bit to much.. I usually do 30 minutes which equals about 600 calories burned and I think thats plenty...

I'd say cut your carbs down and eat your body weight in protien and stick to 30 minutes of elliptical machine a day.

Drinking alot of water will reduce your water weight too because your body doesn't have to store as much water.
