    Balancing Lifting and Sports Training

I was an avid basketball player before I got into lifting and I now love lifting just as much but I want to know how to balance my strength and sports training weekly so as to maximise my performance in both. But I will prioritise lifting if need be.

I lift 3x a week w/ Full Body workouts. Do intensive basketball/cardio sessions affect my strength adaptations/recovery?
Can my body eventually just get used to the workload?
Any rough templates to structure my cardio and lifting around? E.g. only light cardio on lifting days; Intense exercise only 2-3x a week etc.

You will probably be more tired at first, but your body will adapt and get used to it eventually. If you do start to feel too tired/sore and run down, take a day of two off to recover.
