    eating less than 500 calories from maintenance

    Ok say someone ate like 900 less calories then their maintenance would they still be losing fat? obviously muscle will be lost as well but i keep reading in places that you store more fat when you eat this little.

    Where did you read that you store more fat when you eat 900 calories below maintenance compared to 500 calories below maintenance?
