I was wondering what kinds of foods you guys put PB on. I am currently cutting and trying to go low carb. That throws putting PB on bread out the window, and I was wondering what else I could put it on. I'm not a fan of celery and can't think of anything else people add PB to. I don't have a blender to add it to my protein shakes, and Im satisfied with the taste anyway....so what else do you guys add PB to? Any ideas appreciated
Thanks

Well since he said "low carb" and neither of the above items are exactly low carb, I am going to try and help you out.
You dont have to put PB on anything u can just eat it out of the jar, or put in a in little bowl mix it w/ some protein power maybe some crushed almonds.
This might sound gross but I've put Peanut butter on eggs, mostly the egg white though since its tasteless, makes a meal with a complete protein source. Healthy fats too.God is #1!!!

Ok, two things for you. Try "Better N' Peanut butter" which has 2.5g of fat in two tablespoons, is delicious, and has 100 calories, no trans fats or hydrogenated oils. It's also all natural. Power Butter is also sold on bb.com, it has 32g of protein, is delicious, and is all natural as well. Now that I've told you about that, Whole Foods sells bread that has Low Carb bread with 5 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber only 4g of net carbs (9 total carbs per slice) and it tastes pretty damn good too! Highly recommended! Good luck!
Also, mix PB in with Fat-Free Sugar Free Chocolate Fudge pudding...it tastes like peanut butter cups. Or mix it with Fat-Free Sugar Free Banana Pudding for a nice Banana Peanut Butter mix!

Yeah, my problem with peanut butter is that I love it so much, but couldn't stand how much fat was in it, and didn't want to combine high fat with high carbs. While at Whole Foods and Stop & Shop, I noticed both the Extremely low carb bread, and the EXTREMELY low fat PB and I immediately bought A TON of both without bothering to try them...and I lucked out! They taste fantastic, and a PB sandwich is only 3 grams of fat with like 10 carbs, it's amazing! AND it's all natural, that's the best part! But yeah man, try the pudding, delicious!!! +rep points right back at you man

The low fat peanut butter is filled with unhealthy ingredients (sugar, corn syrup, etc. Take a look at your label!) in place of the GOOD fats that are in natural peanut butter.
The better path is to get pure natural peanut butter, with two ingredients: peanuts and salt (I have been using Laura Scudders, which claims ONE ingredient: 100% peanuts). Almost all of the fat in natural peanut butter is the good kind, so don't be scared of it!Last edited by eyesonly; 12-12-2006 at 09:44 AM. Reason: added example ingredients
