I bought a one year certificate for a 24 hour fitness all clubs pass online last year. Now it's up and I want to renew. I went back to teh club where I had redeemed the membership (but not worked out) and the guy wasn't really willing to offer me anything like it. I'm not interested in monthly fees and the only thing he would offer is $600 for 3 years.
Does anyone know of a way I can get a decent deal with them? I'd pay $250 or 300 up front for an all clubs. I don't often use other clubs, but I don't want someone hemming me in.

It's a pretty standard offer. Basically, they don't sell 1 year memberships only 3 year ones. They call it a 1 year membership so that if you do cancel it, it depreciates over 1 year. That is, you can cancel at any time and get your money back, but if you cancel it after 1 year, you get no money back. Like everything at 24HF, it's just another ploy to screw their customers. It's my best option in terms of where I live though especially if I want to bike there.

Hi
I joined fitness first about couple of months ago. Currently I am on a $23 something weekly gym membership for one year where I can go to any fitness first club around Australia at any time seven days a week and its pretty good option. I have been going for around two months but because now I am too occupied with my studies n exams as well as my full time job, I hardly seem to spare time to go to gym, The problem is that I can't cancel my contract with them even if I don't go to fitness first unless I transfer it into someone Else's name. So I am writing this to let people know that if someone's ready to start a new life full of fitness at this very cheap rate, they can contact me by leaving a message either through here or by an email......
just leave ur no. and I''ll call you.....
Thanx

Dude thats too cheap...
Try to go to a hotel gym or something, mine i go to crowne plaza, roughly 1200 bucks per year, has sauna, steam, jacuzzi, pool, free aeroclasses (kickboxing, pilates, dance, martial arts) , 24 hours, massage, tanning area... well thats their perks but if your not in to the fancy type try other stuffs, im just suggesting this place. good luck
