    waking up late

I woke up late this morning, and I've been putting a good amount of stress on my muscles because now I can actully feel them hurt the next day.

So I'm wondering, should I just drink my no explode and leave for the gym or have a quick protien shake for the muscles?

Im just saying this because I heard somewhere, you should give protien in an instant to your muscles when you wake up to help their growth.

anyone? I will probably be at the gym for 2 hours. 45min cardio after workout.

Never workout on an empty stomache. If you're lifting you should eat a good amount of carbs and protein beforehand.

Thanks DJohnson, can you explain why protein and carbs beforehand? I've heard it myself on many occasions, but it would be the same as have post carb workout correct?

I do have no explode which I guess in a way makes it so I don't need my energy from pre carbs before weight lifting. I've also heard you can burn carbs from the night before on an empty stomach but again its one person vs another person in these saying.

although I also heard if you wake up with muscle soreness form a heavy session from previous day its highly recommended you feed your body protein asap.
