The way I look at it is Michigan could kick the **** out of the Gators so Michigan should get the chance to play for the championship.

Florida lost to a unranked (I believe) Auburn team by 10, Michigan lost to the #1 team by 3...It's got to be Michigan...but I have a feeling the BCS will find a way to screw this up.

I'm a Buckeye
I would love to beat Mich twice in the same season. I think Michigan is the second best team in the NCAA. However, they didnt even win their conference so I would have to go with Florida. I think OSU would CRUSH Fla

What he said ^^^^^^^^^^^^
Plus, Michigan's only loss was to the number 1 ranked team by 3 points. Who did Florida lose to and by how many? Unless it was also the number ranked team and they lost by 1 or 2 points (which it wasn't), Michigan has a stronger case.

You didn't see the game. Florida went to Auburn ranked #2, Auburn was #11. Auburn didn't score one offensive TD. If it wasn't for a "botched" fumble on the AU 6 yeard line, it would've been and undefeated season.

No way it can be Michigan. They had their shot against OSU already and blew it. Talk about how close the game was all you want fact is it was a huge rivalry they've had a chance at OSU now it's time for someone else to get a shot. Michigan losing their last game of the season to their biggest rivals should have and imo did cost them the national championship shot.

Auburn is the #11 team in the country right now, and was at one time #2.
UF deserves it over Michigan by a mile. Michigan didn't even win their conference. They played in an overrated Big10, while UF plays in the best conference (by far) in the nation.

i agree, i dont get this, i mean a week ago everyone was saying florida had no chance unless they won by A LOT. now they are saying they dont know. i think they just trying to get more publicity saying flordia has a chance. but they dont its mich and osu rematch, and if flordia get #2 then something is messed up.
i truly believe michigan is better team then flordia, i dont care what flordias schedule was like

If Michigan just lost to OSU two weeks ago, how do they deserve to play them again for the national title?

To make matter worse, USC jumped UF in the rankings two weeks ago when they beat Cal and UF beat South Carolina. UF's opponents win percentage is .642%, while UM's out of conference win % is .47%.
I love Michigan, but they didn't win the Big 10. They played OSU and barely lost, great game AND the best game of the year, but their SOS was far less than the Gators.
That's the fun of talking about it here. The voters are PISSED USC lost.

Why should Michigan get a second bite at the apple? Let Florida have their shot.

Because that may be just what is need to blow the BCS up and force a playoff system.

because it was a really really close game, osu had home field advantage, and no one else would make a close game against osu, and michigan is clearly a better team, the championship game should be at a netural field, etc etc etc

Let's look past at "Michigan had their shot" and face facts...I think Michigan is better than Florida. The second best team in the country should play the best team in the country for the national championship, IMO.

Michigan barely beat Ball State University this season, and they already lost to OSU. Florida has the toughest schedule in the country hands down and they just won the SEC. IMO, UF is the more deserving team to play for the national title.

I was hoping for USC to play OSU in the title game and barely beat them, Michigan and Florida crushing their bowl opponents, and Boise State winning their bowl game. Then you'd have 4 teams who were ranked at the top of the BCS with one loss and one undefeated team. That would totally destroy the BCS. Now that USC lost, the only hope of causing enough controversy to force a major change would be for Michigan to barely beat OSU in the title game while Florida crushes their bowl opponent.

Really? You say that like it's a fact when its just your specualtion. How do you know Florida v OSU wouldn't be a close game...you don't know anything for sure.

Michigan deserves it. Had Michigan lost earlier in the season, started playing the same time as Florida and finished their season today as well, this would be a no brainer, but considering they lost 2 weeks ago and haven't played a down since, meanwhile Florida gets to rack up a couple more victories. That's pretty f**ked up that b/c they finished their season before Florida finished theirs that they may be ousted.

I’m and Ohio State fan and I think you’ve got to put Michigan in the title game… here’s my reasons-
Argument- Florida is the second best team
Michigan is the second best team in the country, anyone watching Florida the past few weeks can tell they are not as good as Michigan.
Argument- Michigan already had their chance
I don’t really see how anyone can use this. Florida lost, to Auburn. Auburn has lost to Arkansas and Georgia. Yes Michigan lost, but to the best team in the country. By using this insane logic you’re saying if Michigan didn’t play Ohio State this year, and had lost to Wisconsin (#2) then that’s okay…

True, but the SEC is STACKED. Every year it is the toughest conference top to bottom; I wouldn't be so quick to discount Auburn, Arkansas, or Georgia(who beat GT btw). I say the two teams are pretty close; best case scenario Florida vs. Michigan, winner plays OSU.

Just so they can get hammered by OSU.

The big 10 is over-rated? How so? Becuase they have the top 3 teams in the country?
