I wanted it to be funny, but just couldn't manage to find it even amusing. Shockingly stupid is how i would describe it. As the video cut off the bar looked to be heading to his neck I'd be suprised if he wasn't in the ICU for a couple of days after that.

i have seen someone drop 400 on there chest because the guy lost his grip after he was about 70% of the way up.

There is no chance that the spotter can hold up that weight in that position, especially on a spontaneous drop- there is no way it's his fault.
