Harm in eating old protein bar?

I bought a couple of the Met-RX Protein Plus bars and Wal Mart the other day. I just took a bite out of one and happened to see the "Best By" date of July 2006. Should I still eat it or trash it?

i did the same thing damn walmart i ate em tasted fine should be fine

i wouldn't eat it. they have those "sell by" dates for a reason. take 'em back next time you're there and exchange them.

If you just bought it I would bring it back. Otherwise there shouldnt be anything wrong with it
