im on cytogainer i drink it about 2-3 times a day, gained 10 pounds in 2 weeks, noticed my stomache getting a lil bigger , should i be working out my abs during bulking cycle? i heard its useless because sit ups and crunches arent what make you get a six pack anyway. i work out intensely 4-5 times a week , im 6'1 and 150 pounds. i want a six pack so should i be working out my abs during my bulking cycle?

No, get off the fatgainer. And ****, if your to stupid to decrease your calories after gaining 5lbs a week, id just quit. Seriously, its simple, to much weight gain = to many calories. And here you go on with, "should I work my abs".... Get a clue.

Well I won't be so rude like the other post, but IMO what you should definitely do is get off the Cytogainer. If it's causing that much gain it's definitely doing more harm than good. Try not to be so impatient with bodybuilding, it takes a lot of time. If anything make sure you have good pre and post workout nutrition, get your proper carbs/protein after your workout...based on your body I would say 100g carbs, and about 40g protein after workout in a liquid form immediately, ie. cytocarb, dextrose, and whey protein.
Personally I hit 5 sets of abs every day alternating one day with decline situps and a 25 pnd weight, the next day hanging leg raises with a 15 pnd weight.
This is what works well for me, and please keep in mind everyone is different. I think the cytogainer is just giving you far too many calories without the muscle mass to absorb it all, so your body is storing the extra.

Work out your abs like any other bodypart (you'd get nowhere with no weight on bench; its the same with abs), except maybe 3 or 4x a week instead of twice, and your abs will be there, just not as nice looking with the fat. Once you start cutting, keep up the abs and you'll have a sixer faster that looks better with each passing week.

I wouldn't stop taking it all together, but I would cut it back to post workout shake. Three times a day is way too much to be taking in around 800 calories at once. 2 pounds a week gain is healthy, much more than that and you're just gaining fat (even if it's not noticable). But to your main question...
You should always work your abs. Think about it, when are you going to build them if you only work them on a caloric deficit? What would happen if you only worked your arms when you were cutting, they would always be small. You're not trying to get your abs massive, but in order to have a nice six pack you will have to work them when you are on a bulk because that's the only time they will grow. Yes, low bf reveals your abs... but what good does that do if your abs are sickly?Workout journal

ight thanks for the help i appreciate it, ill only drink the cytogainer after workouts now, i did gain about 7-10 pounds in 2 weeks but it seemed that was only the case because my body was new to the cytogainer, i seem to have gotten used to it now and im not growing as rapidly. To be honest i take the cytogainer because i am always on the run and i dont have time to sit there and eat meals continuously.
