    cyclic keto with NHE program:fitnessman

    Ive been using the Natural Hormonal Enhancement plan but Im wondering if theres anyway to optimize the bulking phase rather than just eyballing caloric intake. what are the pros or cons of this dietary system and what recomendations do you have as far as informational resource and macronutrient ratios. I have lyle mcdonolds book, metabolic diet, and NHE by faigin, any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Havent read NHE....So cant comment. I have heard of it, but it would be unfair for me to comment.

    Lyle's good stuff. The metabolic diets just another spin..

    As far as informational reading: Dr. Lowery has some good articles on the web. I really like husband and wife team Dr. eades(although they are not into the weights) DiPasquale(least favorite,due to intent for steroid users) Atkins has some solid science on blood work and such..

    As far as getting more on the bulking plan, what is the question your are after?

    Sounds like the Anabolic diets mid week carb spike......

    I have a problem with 30g carbs per day the rest of the meals....What about post workout nutrition?

    1. 50% cals from fat

    2. Pumps would remain with a post workout shake consisting of 30g carb and 30-40g protien

    I have found 2 carb loads excessive(every metabolism is different) once a week 24-36hrs has worked best for me and my test cases.

    We have to manipulate are insulin(spikes) on this diet....especaily post work out...

    I am NOT flaming this NHE plan. I would have to read the book to make an educated decision.....From what you have said so far, another spin off.

    nhe keto

    there are no parameters for post workout nutrition other than his formula for a pre and post workout shake consisting of 2tbsbs safflower oil, up to 50grams whey, and water. I recall the rationale is that post workout carbs would spike insulin but suppress gh. what do you think? I noticed comments regarding a book you have penned. Is it available and if not what is the status on it. thanks..........jr.....................
