    Creatine on rest days??

I am doing the rippetoe program. Since I am only working out 3 days per week. I am not sure if I should be taking creatine on my off days. Does anyone have any info on this?

Choice is up to you. Even if you don't your muscles will eventually become saturated with the creatine, it will just take longer.

I would still suggest takking it on off days. So you can keep your muscles near saturation levels or already at saturation levels.

If you are taking creatine monohydrate and are taking 10 g a day on workout days you can take 5 g on non-workout days to save yourself a bit of coin.

I would recommend taking creatine on off days and make sure you drinking enough water.

Your body produces it endogenously to begin with.... your muscle cells will still be saturated on your days off.

I use creatine or creatine/NO products, as pre-workout supps only.

It's a little more accepted to take creatine post-workout, but in actuality it generally doesn't matter too much. However, if you chose to take your creatine with a high GI CHO sourse it makes much more sense and would advantagous to take this post workout. I would still take your creatine every day just to be sure you maintain saturation levels, but to each his own.

Everybody finds different reasons, to do different things.

I have always utilized creatine as a pre-workout supplement.

I value it differently than most. I don't really care enough to ingest it on my days off.

I get my creatine from a creatine/NO enhancer, and I use it more as a mitochondrial fuel source for ATP up-regulation, than a muscle volumizer.

i currently also take a NO supplement that has about 2 grams of creatine in it i believe, would it still be fine to take a creatine mono product at the same time? Use the NO pre workout and drink the creatine down with my whey post work out?

Is there any way of telling when you're muscles are saturated with creatine. I presume your body just get rid of the excess - which is a waste?
    Cheers
