    gaining weight for football

    right now im 5'8 and weight 160. i want be around 175-180 for next year in football. It will be my JR year. If i gain 2 pounds per month i would gain 10 pounds in 5 months. which is pretty good i think. how would i do that does anyone have any adice or should i just read some artilcle or something?

    if you wanna gain weight for football just eat a tonnnn... it wont matter much because its the offseason. just lift a lot, some protein would help. doing that would probably help you to gain more than 2 pounds a month.

    i lift 4 days a week. im going to ask my mom to buy more snanks like peanuts and peanut butter bread. I eat a big breakfast lunch and dinner i just need to eat more inbetween

    Calories in > calories out and you'll gain weight. The effectiveness of your program will decide whether it's muscle or fat. Just make sure you're getting as strong as you possibly can in order to gain.

    And don't forget speed. Gaining weight will slow you down unless you are getting faster all the time.

    the program im strarting is from higher-faster-sports.com it has alot of good articles i read alot of them. lifting is not the proplem ive goten stronger in all the core lifts sence i started lifting

    Get you diet in check, look on BB.com on all the articles for gaining weight and lift you ass off every workout. I was able to gain 25 lb last off season, im hoping to put another 25 lbs this year.

    YOu can get 2 lbs a week if you eat enough you should aim for more then 2 a month.

    Its actually impossible to gain 2 lbs in one week from either fat or muscle, it will only be water/food weight.

    But yeah, try and add more meals to your diet, and eat lots of CARBS... bread, pasta, potatoes etc.
