right now im 5'8 and weight 160. i want be around 175-180 for next year in football. It will be my JR year. If i gain 2 pounds per month i would gain 10 pounds in 5 months. which is pretty good i think. how would i do that does anyone have any adice or should i just read some artilcle or something?
if you wanna gain weight for football just eat a tonnnn... it wont matter much because its the offseason. just lift a lot, some protein would help. doing that would probably help you to gain more than 2 pounds a month.
Calories in > calories out and you'll gain weight. The effectiveness of your program will decide whether it's muscle or fat. Just make sure you're getting as strong as you possibly can in order to gain.
And don't forget speed. Gaining weight will slow you down unless you are getting faster all the time.
