Ben Wallace of the Detroit Pistons 460 bench press? Once you have reached 355lbs. on bench (I have flat barbell bench-pressed this amount of weight) you are lifting a power number/amount of weight there, powerlifting weight actually really, for real. steroids or no steroids. I would have to actually see Ben Wallace do 460 bench press and/or at least have someone confirm him as making that lift. My neighbor at the time, a guy by the name of Brian McKittrick, witnessed me bench press 355lbs. Other people have seen me rep 315lbs. on bench press, at more than one location, gym, coincidentally, lol! Can anybody besides a single muscle and fitness interview confirm Ben Wallace doing 460 on bench press? Not to rag on Ben Wallace or Weider or anything, but to make the recently released muscle and fitness/Ben Wallace interview credible-- why not have B. Wallace talk about how I live drug and alcohol free, I do not smoke, I eat clean, my training partner/trainer, XXX, can confirm I have benched 460? sounds to me like fishy, speculative journalism work. a competitive bodybuilder should be keenly aware that there is a content difference between flex and muscle and fitness.

Thats not hard to believe at all considering that conditioning is a major part of these guys lives. I mean give me $5 million a year and I'll bet that I can through up some serious numbers. I remember watching a clip of Avery Johnson benching 405 for reps back when he was running point for the Spurs.
By the way, heres the link to the article on Earl Boykins:

If Reggie Bush, who isn't even 6 feet tall and around 50 lbs lighter than Ben, Wallace can bench press 225 lbs for 30 reps (he did that during the pre-draft NFL combine)... I am more than certain that Ben can hit 460 for 1.

and to give ya an idea of my strength on barbell bench-press, I do better than 50% of Reggie Bush's 225lbs. X 30 reps best combine bench-press test total.

Bulls, Pistons? whatever happened to pro bodybuilding? lol i went from wrestling @85lbs. seventh grade to benching 355lbs. that is four, over four plus times (quick calculation without the use of a calculator) my bodyweight on bench, one rep max, raw, no bench suit, no belt, no gloves, no straps, no gym chalk. how many people on this planet can tell you for certain they have recorded (drug-free) over 4x+ their bodyweight on bench-press raw since seventh grade?!-- the equivalence of/equivalent to a pro bodybuilder, a Ronnie? Jay? Lee Priest? Victor? Markus? or Pro Bob Chick? (ha, ha , I had to throw Pro Bob Chick's name in there) putting up a drug-free, raw, 1200+lbs. bench-press?! There is some trivia for you to ponder and think about Pro Bob Chick, guys! David vs. Goliath. lol!

Putting Big Shaq on his butt!
How many people can put a 330 lbs bulldozer like shaq on their butt with one arm? I don't doubt the 460 bench claim the guy is a beast! He has a different physique from anyother player except mabey Ron Artest.

I had no idea who this dude was, but I googled an image or 2 and the first pic makes him look pretty big. The link with the pic is a short article claiming he did in fact throw up 460. The address was real long so i didn't paste it. sorry in advance for anyone too lazy to go there without me attaching the link.

flexibility through stretching plays a big part in strength. some guys, me for instance (give myself reps ) perhaps do not look exceptionally strong, yet put him in the gym, sometimes an athlete does some incredible stuff in the gym.

Look I'm sorry I said he was 7ft tall. I though I read he was around 6'11, I was wrong. Maybe he benches 460lbs. If he does. I would be even more impressed just due to his huge wing span.

Envision Ben Wallace's 460 lb bench press with me:
15 teammates surround the bench in the team gym while they scream and jump up and down...he has 2 spotters on the left, 2 spotters on the right, and one spotter in the middle. As all 5 spotters push and pull up on the barbell they're shouting "all you all you all you cuz ...come on cuz it's all you brutha it all you shlllllt it all you dayum it ALL YOU !"...after the lift the spotter in the middle has to see the team's physical therapist because he thinks he might have torn a bicep. Two other spotters have to get their shoulders checked out.

I guess for me it is a little hard to belive since we have bodybuilders who devote all their time to lifting weights and some can't even lift 460lb on the bench and they are pro's. So to me it is a little hard to believe that a basketball player can lift more then some pro's.
But then again it could be true but I have some doubts.

I guess basketballers do then.
And no **** bodybuilders dont lift to be powerlifters. But with training as it is they are bound to be stronger then 99% of the population. And in that 99% are basketball players. I bet all of the top pro's can lift 220lb on the bench. I bet you most of the general public can't and none of them them lift to be stronger or as your theory goes.
