Thinking about competing
I have never competed in a fitness/body building competition. Is fitness even a male competition? I want to know more about the different competitions, where can I find this?

there are fitness comps for guys. you'll have to do a search though. FAME might have men's fitness comps. Try doing a search on NPC bodybuilding for your area. that should help you find comps and info that you are looking for. you could also search this site as there is tons on here already.

Yeah, i have been training hardcore for 2 years now. changed my life entirely and devoted it to my body, pretty much. In male fitness comps do they judge you on your whole body? im asking because i want to compete, but i am not really down with shaving my hairy ass legs. lol. the rest of my body i shave, except my forearms which arent that hairy anyways. but, i definitely would like some more info. about comps in the NY AREA

America's Fittest Model - Male Category
ABSolutelyREADY,
We have a Male Fitness Model competition category. We effort to get casting agents, agencies, and editors from the mags to the competitions. So if the competitor looks to have what it takes to get in the magazines or beyond, we try to offer that window of opportunity for the athlete/model.
:: SCHEDULE ::
April 4-5 :: San Diego, CA
June 14-15 :: Phoenix, AZ
June 27-28 :: Oklahoma City, OK
Oct/Nov :: Los Angeles, CA
More schedule information is available here, http://www.americasfittestmodel.com/...petitions.aspx
Details to the shows, formtas, and rules are here: http://www.americasfittestmodel.com/...ails.aspx?id=2 as well as our rulebook which is now available online (pdf), http://www.fitnessandsports.net/Docu...M_Rulebook.pdf
