Wow you guys aren't joking?
OK you have a number of options.
You can channel out the plaster in the wall, and run the wires down "inside" the wall" and then plaster over and paint. This is a very neat solution.
Or, you can get a cable tidy (or just a plastic tube cut in half across the profile so you have a semi-circular piece of plastic or use a rectangular one or w/e) run the cables down the wall; stick this over it; paint the tube (and wall if necessary).
Or build an MDF mantle under the TV and run the cables through that.
etc. etc. The options are endless, but you need to be good at DIY or willing to spend some $$$. Any decent carpenter/handyman can do this stuff in 1 day.
Personally, avoid wirless wherever possible. Hard-wired is always better quality and doesn't suffer from interferance. And if your doing something permanent like the above, get some good quality cables.
Have a look at the pictures at the bottom of this page for some ideas. The best option is actually a complete false wall (or part-wall - doesn't have to be the whole thing) so that the TV/sound/cables actually sit "inside" the wall. Not as expensive as it sounds and looks awesome.
