I just learned to retract my shoulder blades during bench press. I was doing them "bodybuilder" style, and heard they were bad for my shoulders, etc. And of course, you need to keep your shoulder blades together during squats, or else the bar will just fall off.
So my question, do I need to pinch my scapulas together on deadlifts? It feels kinda awkward, so I'm not sure.
Yeah, I didn't think so. Thanks for the input. It felt wrong to me in many ways; the path of the bar, eveything really. Also, keeping your shoulders back would put a lot more stress on your upper back; and I know my muscles can't support all that weight. Just making sure, since I just figured how to actually do a powerlifting style bench properly.
