What is your diet like? That will be most important. Also, you'd like to build muscle and shed fat, right, not "tone up"? What are your stats?

Can you list a day's diet?
EX:
M1: 1/2c oatmeal, 3egg whites and a whole egg, 1/2c skim milk
M2: apple, 1/2c cottage cheese, 10 almonds
M3...etc
And be specific!
And how much do you weigh? I'm a little confused there...
Check out Terracotta's page- it has a lot of good information on it!

well for breakfast i have a bowl of cerial with milk, sometimes toast and a little bit of butter.
for lunch i have 2 sandwiches and some go ahead biscuits.
for dinner i have whatever my mum cooks, usually roast or something healthy.
i have a habbit of eating in between meals though! and it's not always the healthiest things!! My weight can never stay the same for abotu a day, it switches easily, sometimes can be 8 stone 12 and can go up to 9 stone 5.

well one thing is that you are 15! That is great you want to workout cause i have started working out sense i was 15 and it has been along road to see results! You have to keep with it, least 3 or 4 days a week, eat 3 or 4 small meals a day! Eat a simple breakfast, simple lunch and a good dinner! Yogurt is also great, i love it! Eat fruit, salads! Its whatever you like! But also what helps is just reading; read read read! I buy Men's Health Magazines all the time when a new one comes out! My Cosmo i guess lol, but go buy Women's Health! It has alot of cool things in it, new ways to eat, exercise, ect! You are young, don't push yourself to become the next kate moss and become skinny and its not enough! Just be smart about how you eat and exercise! Yea if you eat Thanksgiving dinner you will be full! Just eat, then come back and work it off! You want to tone! Eat so your body can store fat and then you can just burn off into muscle! You will see results! keep at it! It just takes time! I'm only 20 and i want to gain weight right now i maybe at 175 and i want to gain 5 to 10 more lbs! But i have like 7 percent body fat! I think a BF% for a women that is good is around 12-16 in that area, and it seems like you can't be that far off! You may see some of your freinds and you wish you were like them! But they prob have 20 percent BF while you have 15 and they are nowhere as fit as you! Keep at it, eat clean, exercise reguarly and read! good luck

When you say cereal... is it sugar cereal? Kashi? How much 1 cup, 3 cups? What type of milk, whole? 2%? Skim?
When you say toast... how many slices? What TYPE of bread? White? Whole Grain? How many grams of fiber per slice?
You said butter, how much... is it real butter or margarine?
See what we mean by PRECISE?

Also, put on some ankle weights and do isometrics. Get some dumbells at a yard sale or use canned goods and do your upper body workout using those.
Muscle is necessary to make you look fit and to help you boost your metabolism.
Being fit at 15 will reap amazing rewards when you are 30!

wow strong bump for a 1 year old thread
and an overabundance of cardio with a shotty nutritional program isn't the answer. I'm wondering how the OP has progressed since this post
