With proper form perhaps 45's. Anyone who said "80" does not actually lift weights. I didn't press 80's until I was an All-American.

They might actually be able to lift the 80's for one, sloppy ****ing rep, but i doubt it.

Why the hate? I switched to DB press after 5 months (just recently) of flat bench because I hated it and it never felt right to me no matter how I changed my form.

Why are you critiquing my workout? Yes in the beginning I did not do legs either, I also did some exercises wrong, did not have protein shakes immediately after my workout etc.

Sorry I was not like you when you first went into the gym and knew how to perfectly execute every exercise, knew which exercises to do for max results, and had an idea of when you would stop bulking and begin your cut to show case your results at your first Mr.olympia.

Dumbell press requires some balance so I would guess 70lb per arm for 6 reps.

interesting compilation of averages. it doesn't have dumbell press but does have bench press among other things. the bench press seems high for the average.

my guess would be around 50lbs with suspect form
    reborn.

If the person hasnt worked out much b4? No way 80, cause it takes alot of stabilizing muscles to do db press. The average amount i see people at my college gym lift(these kids workout a decent bit i would assume) is prolly around 60-70 lbs.

At the gym i go to back home, which is mostly older people and HS kids i would say 40-50 lbs

I'd bet 55lb db's would be spot on (with good form for 6 reps).

An All-American, wtf? Haha. I bench press 240 pounds and dumbbell press 90 pounds on a good day.

id say an average 30 year old male who does an occasional softball league and runs one a month could do 40-45s per arm for about 6 reps.

I just got 110's for 6 good reps, looks like the hard works payin off, still got to keep goin tho
