Creatine

I have question… I have done some reading on when and timing to take creatine and do not quite understand if I am taking it correct. I normally take 2 grams after my workout along with a scoop of gold standard whey protein shake. Should I take 2 grams prior to workout and after workout? Also, 45 minutes after taking creatine should I eat any type kind of carbs such as, green beans, cabbage, and broccoli????

Just needed a clear understanding. I did not do the loading phase. I read where doing the loading phase you will see great results quicker than waiting for 28 days. Now maybe I am wrong… that is why I am here….

I always take my creatine before my workout...its debatable wether you need it post. I add it anyways, as do alot of people. Its really up to you to decide if it makes a difference in your training. But definitley take it pre-workout because the workout is where you will need it most. Also, some people add their creatine to grape juice or other simple sugars to get it into the muscles quicker. You can also use an N.O supplement pre workout to achieve the same effect, plus great pumps.

The way I do it is:

Creatine/N.O pre workout
Creatine in a protein shake with some fruit added in it (amog other things) post workout.

If you use Creatine Ethy Ester, there is no loading phase required. HTH

5 grams preworkout, 5 grams postworkout. 5 grams once on non-training days
take creatine with a carbohydrate containing meal since creatine monohydrate relies upon insulin
