If anything it should be easier, since fat releases loads more energy/heat(that's why its 9 cals/gram while carbs are only 4, note that cals are technically units of heat).

Back when we were all hunter/gatherers, winter would have traditionally been the time you lived on what you could hunt rather than what you gathered, so meat and possibly stored nuts would have been the staple.

Of course, back then, days were short and nights were long, so you would have been less active as well.
    65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.

Funny you mention this. I used to feel cold almost constantly before. I felt aenimic and weak... now that I've switch to keto my body feels as though it regulates temperature at a much more efficient pace. I could feel cold in a 70 degree room before I was on keto and now I feel almost too hot with the temperate up to 65 degrees during these colder weeks.

I know it sounds as though I'm giving a sales pitch but this was one of the first things I noticed when switching to keto, that my body has a constant warm feeling to it.

I remember watching a study on eskimos a few years back BTW and they were naturally (genetically was the word they used at the time) much less predisposed to the ill effects of cold than a man of northern european descent.
