They did, but they banned them LONG after the Droz instance.
I've said before and will say again, it is not the moves that injure people it is people not knowing how to properly do the moves that causes injuries.
Banning moves like the piledriver is dumb when any move whether it be a body slam or hiptoss can cause damage when not done properly.

The difference between a piledriver and a bodyslam is the reprecussion of a poorly executed move. A bad bodyslam makes the guy land on his hand wrong and twist his wrist or something. A bad piledriver makes the guy land on his head and either break his kneck or massively ruin disks and nerves in their neck, rendering them paralyzed for possibly life. The WWE decided after an Undertaker "stinger" that move wasn't worth the risk, and that people could have quality matches without endangering themselves like that. It makes sense, but it's still stupid.

Me: Excuse me. Is it really true that you guys don't allow deadlifts? There's a sign posted over there.
Fat receptionist lady at 24 Hour Fitness: Well..........I don't know what that is, but if it's posted, I guess that it's for your own safety.

Actually you are wrong if you think that's all a body slam can do if executed wrong.
Bruno Samartino for instance suffered a broken neck as a result of a botched bodyslam.
Heck, I saw a guy I was training with suffer the same fate from a hiptoss of all things.

Droz was actually injured by dlo's running powerbomb, not a bodyslam or piledriver. I was at the show, it was really ****ed up, I felt(and still feel) so bad for the guy

Maybe so, but those are the exceptions, not the norm. A botched bodyslam is sometimes dangerous. A botched piledriver is dangerous 100% of the time. I'm saying that the rule is ridiculous and that professional wrestlers should know how to execute their moves, but the risk of a poorly executed one are far greater than that of a routine bodyslam or hiptoss.
Obviously anything in wrestling CAN be very dangerous. Hiptosses, body slams, cross body blocks, heck, Mick Foley's career was ended by the smooshy padding of WWE's rings.

Dynamite, Bret, Storm, Taker, etc, would argue otherwise.

Im talking about a regular one and people who used them in every match. Not osmone who used them twice in there whole career. Bruno S. broke someones neck doing one in practice.

None of the guys used then only twice in their whole career. In ECW Lance used a piledriver as a finisher.
