After knee surgery. How can I workout ?

Im going to be having surgery on my knee for the 2nd time( Sports injury from Judo 3 years ago ). I will be on crutches for 6 weeks and doctor says it will take 5 months for my leg to fully recover from the surgery.

I am currently doing rippletoe starting strength. But I wont be able to do nearly all of those excercices after my surgery. Can anyone recommend a workout that doesn't involve me having to stand or use legs etc?

Also I remember seeing someone talk about suffering from fatigue after surgery. Is my upper body strength going to slack after surgery, anyone experienced this ?

you can work your upper body with compounds like bench press and seated millitary press, the release of the hormones will probably also make some of your leg muscles grow, not that much though...

I had reconstructive surgery on my knee 3 years ago. I tore my ACL, MCL, and had my Meniscus Cartilage removed.

I couldn't get back into doing squats/deads for almost 6 months.......just workout your upper body like normal, and take your usual leg day off.

Also, you can't eat as much as you could when you were doing cardio/working out legs.......

......just stay active, and do as much as possible!!!
