    Question about reps?

I have heard so many diffrent things about reps. Some people say us should do no more then 6 reps per set and some say u should always do 8-10 and I have even heard that some people start out doing 12 and working there way down as the weight increases. I am sure it all depends on what u are trying too accomplish. My question is, can u incorperate all of those theories into your training too confuse your body so it doesnt get use too one thing. So one one night u might start up at 12 and increase the weight as u go and your reps decrease, but the next night go just heavy enough too do six reps on a given set. Does this make sense? Let me have it. Be nice about it though.

It is always nice to confuse your body, to keep from getting into a plateau.

But I think in order to see and chart progress, you need to stick to a particular routine for at least a month. Your body will not adapt to a routine overnite...so constantly switching around every day or so will not confuse it much. But it might confuse you more.

So decide your goals, which routine you would rather do, decide what exercises you are going to do and when, and chart your weights/reps/sets every time.
