Photo question

I just got back from a vacation in Florida to Walt Disney World. They now have this "Photo Pass" where professionals will take your picture at various different locations around the park. All of your pictures are linked together through this "Photo Pass" card. Then, you can review the photos and purchase any you like or have all of the photos put on a CD. This is what I have had done.

On Sunday, I tried to look at the pics on my home computer, where I do not have access to the Internet, and the pics were too large to view. Also, I couldn't even view them as thumbnails. Does any one know of a way to reduce the photos so that I can view them at home. I am not sure why they don't come up so large in Disney World as they do at home. What kind of CD did they put your photos on? Sometimes a photo CD will have a built-in program that lets you check out the photos.... but it sounds like yours doesnt, if its showing up differently than when you viewed it at Disneyworld.

If then you are viewing the photos purely using your computers' default setup, it depends on what program it is using, what your operating system is running and all that. (WinXP has a Picture and fax viewer built in) but it might be opening MSpaint etc to check them out if that wasnt installed on setup etc...

the best bet is to see if your current viewer has a "view" menu where you can adjust the image to 'fit to window', or even the same under a display/tools/options menu.

alternatively, do a search for freeware photo-viewing software online... or check out some of the name-brand ones at the computer store - they often have some funky options for altering the photos for special projects.
