does sucralose kick you out of ketosis?

for those that have tested with ketostix or just feel it, does sucralose personally kick you out of ketosis?

I generally have 2 packets of sucralose a day and it doesnt affect me. I dont test with ketostix but I do experience the symptoms. I think it really depends on how it affects your body individually. The only way you will know is if you try.

Based on what I know.....The majority of sucralose that you ingest remains in the GI tract, not extracted for energy uses, and continues to pass indefinitely through the GI tract. I've heard minimal amounts are absorbed and routed to the kidneys and then excreted through the urine, but due to the fact that its not the liver (i.e. glycogen storage organ) I wouldn't think ketosis would be affected by sucralose.

I'd say it's not a matter of saying yes or no because everybody's body responds differently.

Some people can get by using full fledged peanut butter, other people get kicked out of ketosis just by thinking about it.

i know. what prompted this thread was the division between ketosis and sucralose use. some are kicked out, some are fine, etc.

    more of a curiousity thread...
