VPX Zero Impact Bars (both flavors!!!)
i bought 1 bar of each at a local supp store so i could try them out before buying a box. i never eat protein bars but when i checked out the nutrition profile, it looks really good. a little high in fats but it has little impact on insulin so this compliments my current diet protocol. here are the nutrition facts:
Calories - 448
Calories from Fat - 192
Total Fat - 21g
Saturated Fat - 5g
Trans Fat - s0g
Cholesterol - 1mg
Sodium - 257mg
Potassium - 40mg
Total Carbohydrates - 42g
Dietary Fiber - 4g
Sugars - 7g
Protein - 30g
Ingredients:
Proprietary Protein Matrix: Whey protein isolate, milk protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, Micellean Micellar Casein Protein; Proprietary Fat Burning & Healthy Fats Matrix: Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Sunflower Butter, SesaLean (Sesamin); Semisweet Chocolate, Honey, Maltitol, Whole Grain Oats, 99.7 USP Glycerin, Low DE Corn Syrup, Water, Brown Rice Syrup, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Dutch Process Cocoa, Lecithin, Potassium Sorbate, Salt, Mixed Tocopherols and/or Graham Cracker Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Oats Rolled.
now for my review:
taste: chocolate PB had a nice candy bar like taste to it. since most of us dont eat candy bars, this is a real treat! good PB flavor (not that strong but noticeable). 9/10
pumpin surpreme really shocked me. now im not big on anything pumpkin whatsoever so i expected to dislike the taste. to my surprise, its really good as well. taste closely resembles pumkin bread. 9/10
texture: soft and chewy, cant ask for anything better. 10/10
ingredients/quality: i like the concept behind this bar and including sesamin and CLA is a big plus in my book. it delivers clean carbs that will keep insulin stable and not give a spike and the protein sources are of high quality. i cant think of a better bar concerning nutrients/ingedients. 9/10
satiety: also, very surprising. in no way did i expect this bar to fill me when i was hungry. i dont have a huge appetite but this little bar did the trick and kept me full for about 3 hours. not bad if you ask me. 10/10
so there you have it. i consider this to be THE BEST protein bar on the market. it scored high in everything i consider important and i cant think of a better bar. it would be great as a treat that tastes like a "cheat" or simply when convenience is a factor and you are unable to prepare your next meal. BON APPETITE!

The Pumpkin VPX Bar is the BOMB! The best protein bar I have ever tasted..."bar-none???"
I love the flavor, it does remind me of pumpkin bread, even pumpkin pie. The chocolate peanut butter was super dry, pretty gross, at least the original one, but VPX apparently has revamped it, I tried the new one and it was AWESOME. The only problem is there are still lots of the old bars in circulation and the wrappers look the same, so its really a crapshoot on which one you end up with.
Safe choice.......go with the pumpkin

if i had to choose one flavor, i would give a slight edge to choco PB. but someone who enjoys pumkin would orgasm over that bar you really cant go wrong with either.

Yep. These bars are one of the best in business. The ingredients are top notch and the flavors are nice good. The big bonus is the amount of satiety these bars give you.
VPX has really hit the nail on head by releasing out top notch products like ZI MRP, ZI Bars, NO-Shotgun lately.
Few years back their line sucked with products like Methoxy and overpriced PH's.

everybody needs to do themself a favor and try this bar. im gonna make the switch to carry these when i go out. you wouldnt know it was a protein bar on taste alone. anybody know if these bars would be ok on chuck's cut diet for those who are familiar with it?

Well the cut diet is very precise on the foods to choose from as there are no bars in the competition cut diet, but on the lifestyle cut diet yes they can be incorporated as long as they match the macros for that meal etc.

thanks for chiming in six. my competition diet isnt starting for another couple months so no need to be super picky yet. derek had me taking in 15g fats with 40g protein with each meal on my last cut... close enough.
anyways, havent heard from you in awhile. hows the training going? still bulking with chuck?

Well, this stupid review made me go out and order a box of those pumpkin supreme zero impact bars.
Man, they definitely taste awesome
I agree, very moist and chewy, comparable to pumpkin bread.

yeah, these bars have the best consistency ive seen. probably the closest thing to a candy bar without sacrificing nutrition. most people i know avoid these because of the fats... i was young and stupid once too
