A Theory: Could prohormones convert to steroids during prolonged storage?
I've had some 1,4-Androstadiene-3,17-dione in storage for a couple years now, it's the prohormone for boldenone (aka Boldione, "1,4-andro".) From what I know about chemistry, could this prohormone actually convert to boldenone if it is oxidized from prolonged sotrage? Reason I ask is this:
chemical equation for 1,4-andro: C19H24O2
chemical equation for boldenone: C19H26O2
Now, to make that conversion, it just needs to lose those double bonds (and subsequently add a hydrogen to each end of the molecule.) Is it possible that my 1,4-andro is going to "degrade" to boldenone over prolonged stroage? (Seeing as how oxidation is very common when chemicals are stored for long periods of time, not sure if this holds true for 1,4-andro though.

Very interesting... but you should (should have) wait (waited) til you are 21 to start. Now, regarding this, this is very interesting.

lol, I never did start. Hence the reason they're still being stored.
Oh and I got so excited, I used the wrong terminology...I meant to say reduced, not oxidized. Reduction is where you gain an electron (H+), oxidation is where you lose an electron (H+). Sorry.

I'm surprised that back in the day no one purchased bulk hormone powders and tried to chemically convert them to their target hormones - reducing most chemicals isn't exactly rocket science, I did it all the time in chem labs. Ehhhh Hind's sight 20/20.

Interesting. I have had some 1,4 ad for a year now and I am sure that the place I bought it from had it for a long time before I purchased it. I have been taking it for 2 weeks. First week at 600mg and second week at 800mg and have not noticed much of anything yet. If it did convert maybe it is getting destroyed by my liver instead of turning into boldenone. Do you think it is possible it converted into something useless?
