Veggies
Have a question…
Below is my diet and I am happy with it with the exception of veggies. I normally purchase frozen or can with no sodium added green beans or eat a large salad. I was told I should not resort to frozen or can veggies. I would love to add spinach unfortunately; every time I cook them, it comes out bitter. I have lost the first 55lbs eating frozen or can green beans. Broccoli & cauliflower is too gassy for me. I add salt and pepper to season my veggies.
Does anyone have pointers?

Well, frozen veggies are fine (and can be even better than fresh). I don't know where you heard otherwise....
But veggies I like: spinach, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, summer squash, onion, romaine, eggplant, peppers....

frozen are often actually better than fresh because they freeze them right when they have the most nutritional value. So get your broccolli and stuff like that frozen. Cucumbers, lettuce I get fresh of course

Thanks for the replies I was thinking the same thing. When I first started my program, I asked my trainer can I eat them and he yes and they are less expensive.
While at the gym this week one of the females asked me about veggies and what I eat. While telling her, I eat frozen or can green beans, cabbage and salads another female walked up and say I was giving her misleading information. I was appalled not to mention she rudely interrupted our conversation but the fact of her telling me I was giving out misleading information. Her comment is frozen and can veggies does not have the entire nutrition our bodies need to build muscles/lose fat. When I asked her where she received her, information she stated the internet. Need I say more?

Hey, I think that what you are eating is fine. I buy a lot of frozen veggies because it is more covenient for me and since I am single, buying the fresh veggies, though I love them, can be a waste because if I do not eat them fast enough they go off.
As long as you are eating your veggies, that is all that is important!!

Seasonally, one can purchase fruits and veggies frozen. It's a lot easier, especially if you live with a picky eater or you're single.
Berries are not in season here now, so I buy the frozen ones to add to my yogurt or cottage cheese or oatmeal.
My husband hates hates hates broccoli, so I have fresh and frozen at my disposal.
With the focus on food, I try to make my life as easy as I can. Frozen works.
Canned, I'm not so sure I could go back to them again, even the low sodium kind.
