    First Timer Keto Attempt Diet

    I decided to try Keto for a while to try and lose some body fat. Here is the diet plan. Suggestions appreciated:

    Meal 1
    4 Egg Whites
    1 Egg
    2 Tbs. Olive Oil

    Meal 2
    30g Whey
    20g Olive Oil

    Meal3
    1 Egg
    2 Egg Whites
    2 Tbs. Natural Peanut Butter

    Meal 4
    5 Egg Whites
    2 Natural Cheese Sticks
    1 Tbs. Olive Oil

    Meal 5
    8oz Tilapia
    156g Frozen Brocolli
    1 Tbs. Olive Oil

    Meal 6
    1 Tbs. Olive Oil
    50g Chicken Breast

    1890 Calories, 126g fat, 19g carbs, 162g protein

    60% Fat, 4% Carbs, 36% Protein
    May 2004--295 lbs.

    June 2005--164 lbs.

    July 2006--Spinal Fusion Surgery--no serious lifting for 18 months

    April 2007--154 lbs. (unhealthy)

    Ditch the egg whites, start eating whole eggs and it looks a lot better. As it stands, your protein is a bit high and your fats a bit low.

    Is meal 2 post workout? If so, drop the oil, you don't want any fats PWO. If it's not, drop the whey and eat real food.

    Do you have something against meat? One of the great advantages of this diet is that you can eat steak and enjoy it. Sticking to all that egg white is very joyless.

    Have you actually eaten any of those meals? 2 tablespoons of olive oil would overpower 4 egg whites with no trouble. I'd suggest more green veg, and pour a spoonful of oil over the hot veg.
    65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.
