Orbatron are the plastic covered cement ones. There's nothing wrong with them except that they're really thick. I wouldn't pay much for them, maybe 10 cents a pound.
Edit: As you can see by the pics from the next post they come in some oddball weight designations. Most of us lazy non-metric system americans prefer our plates in whole-number pounds, so having a bunch of plates in odd increments like 14.3 lbs would be annoying to most. On the plus side, they're sure to keep your mind sharp from having to constantly exercises your math skills.Last edited by C Man; 11-02-2006 at 10:12 AM.

The goal of bodybuilding is to look like a bodybuilder. Period. Not "I just wanna be toned" or "I wanna be strong screw abs." If you don't look like a bodybuilder and don't aspire to then GTFO. Stop worrying if you should cut or bulk, or whether a food is clean or dirty. Instead ask yourself "will this make me a better bodybuilder?"

Well the weights are pretty sturdy if they're in the rubber coating. I wouldn't buy cement weights because they can crack and break. If you have the space you have the space on a barbell I'd recommend them as they're cheap. But if you got cash these space saving weights get my thumbs up (scroll down a bit)

ya these weights are pretty bad in my opinion, i have the same exact weights, and they have soem pretty stupid numbers in weight, i have 4 - 14.3lbs, 4 - 8.8lbs, and 2 4.4lbs. Why can't they just round the numbers to a whole number! But anyways, i would not reccemend these, they take wayy too much room on the bar, you can hear the sement falling in peices when lifting, and ive seen 25lb weights smaller than the 14.3 ones
