I wouldn't waste my money on protien bars. They are high in sat. fat, and just about as bad a a candy bar (not all, but most). Nothing compares to "real" food (plus I haven't had a protien bar yet that makes me not miss the real sweets). Hope this helps with the first question

Cake Recipe
I couldn't live w/o this! Its not super clean and I only have a couple times a week. It does make a hefty serving, you could split and reheat i guess.I mix mine in my magic bullet. If you don't have one get one its awesome. I mix 4 egg whites with 2-3 tbs. splenda in bullet mix well. Then add 1/3 c. canned pumpkin, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, 1 tsp. butter buds. and mix well. Then add 2 tbs. raw oats, 3 tbs. wheat bran, 2 tbs. protien powder, 2 tbs. sugar free syrup(Waldens or Davinci) and mix well. Preheat oven to 375 and I bake mine in a sm. 6x3 casserole dish, could maybe make muffins. Spray pan and bake about 30 min. I make an icing using 2 tbs. ff ricotta, 2tbs. ff cottage cheese, 1/2 tbs. sf ff pudding mix, and 1 1/2 tbs. sf syrup(same as above). Imix this in bullet and spread on top after it has cooled for about 5 min. I add choc. chips or raisins before I bake and poke them down in mix. You can use all oats instead of wheat bran and you can use all cc in the icing and it still turns out good. This is around 350 cal give or take . You could use banana or applesauce instead of pumpkin i guess, haven't tried.I hope someone tries this and enjoys it as much as I do!!!

i don't know. i really like the pure protein bars, the smaller ones, they're maybe not the best but they pretty good and for me they do a good job of curbing the craving for the sweets.

Just stay clear of too many of the "low carb" ones that are full of sugar alcohols. They can cause quite an upset stomach.

funny that you mention that. i like most all of the pure protein bars except for the chocolate deluxe one, but that's only because it upsets my stomach.

I'm not sure if it was Luna, Zone or what brand, but one day out of shear hunger I bought one and it was terrible; chalk consistency, I almost broke my two front teeth trying to bite it and it went down like a rock.

that's weird that happend to you....i happen to like the zone and luna bars (but only certain kinds of course).
i know the zone has a good ratio of prot/crbs/fat.
