If it was, most people probably wouldn't be using it. I think creatine would be illegal like steroids if it had any of the same serious side effects. Creatine is not really a lot like steroids. Creatine is made in the body and taking the supplement pulls more water into the muscle cells. Steroids manipulate your entire body so you can produce more testosterone, and they **** with your liver. Very different products.

maybe your health teacher should do a little research before he starts to tell kids the wrong information.

BS.
If creatine would have the same effects as steriods, it would have come up in testing, and it would not be on shelves.
your health teacher should go back to school before telling you guys wrong stuff...

Only at bodybuilding.com would there be thousands of fans of bodybuilding who refuse to admit that bodybuilders use steroids. If you think steroids are cheating, follow a sport that is regulated by the WDA.

Health teachers are retarded....
theyre the people who follow the "Food pyramid" for diets.
and the good old daily percent values like 50 grams of protein a day or some ****.
Ive had my health teacher say creatine and NO is bad for you, and protein shakes too!
I just sat at my desk smirking.

Tell your teacher that for a drug to be classified as an illegal steroid, it has to have been or still being used as a medical drug to aid or treat some sort of sickness or disease, i.e. EPO, HGH, Testosterone, etc.
What disease is creatine being used for? So in that respect, creatine is far from a steroid. The tests done with creatine have shown that when used properly, expect zero to few side affects.ON/ABB Sponsored Athlete

Just did research on this and found in the European Journal of Applied Physiology:
The effects of Creatine Supplementation on Muscular Performance and Body Composition Responses to Short-Term Resistence Training Overreaching
"creatine supplementation does not appear to be mediating its effect through hormonal mechanisms."
If creatine doesn't mess with hormones then it will not effect sperm levels.
Ask your teacher where he/she got this information. Then tell her to look up ACADEMIC/SCIENTIFIC studies that have examined creatine. As long as she is looking at academic studies not someone's opinion on their website, she will learn the truth.

creatine and steroids have almost nothing in common. also, if you do any research people in the beginning believed creatine was too good to be true but then why everytime a magazine or website puts out like top ten supplements is creatine usually 3rd or second on the list after about 15 years of it being around?

One thing that should not be mistaken about creatine is that it is not an anabolic-androgenic steroid. Anabolic-androgenic steroids are man-made substances that are related to the male sex hormones, such as testosterone.
Steroids add testosterone to the body causing increased strength and athletic performance that would otherwise be near impossible to achieve.
Steroids are also the cause of many health problems such as liver tumors and cancer, jaundice, fluid retention, high blood pressure, increases in LDL cholesterol, and decreases in HDL cholesterol.
On the contrary, creatine is a natural nutrient found in meats. In addition, creatine does not add testosterone or affect hormones in the body. The misconception that creatine is a steroid was created because people associate anything that improves performance with steroids.

Before I started using creatine I read this book:
http://www.amazon.ca/Ultimate-Creati...e=UTF8&s=books
It is full of research and written by a doctor/bodybuilder. It is VERY informative and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know about creatine.
Creatine is good for you, not bad for you.█♣█
