MATTMB’S
MASS FX / HYPERDROL
FINAL REVIEW
Thanks to AX for allowing me to test MFX / HD. I am very grateful for that, and hope that my log proves to be valuable to them and others as well.
“After” Measurements (taken cold):
Chest:
43.5” (+0.5”)
Right Arm:
15.5” (+0.5”) Flexed; 13.0” (+0.25”) Unflexed
Left Arm:
15.0” (+0.5”) Flexed; 12.75” (+0.25”) Unflexed
Waist (2” below belly button):
34.0” (+0.5”)
Right Quad:
23.75” (+0.75”) Flexed; 23.75” (+0.25”) Unflexed
Left Quad:
23.25” (+0.25”) Flexed; 23.25” (-0.25”) Unflexed
Right Calf:
15.0” (0”)
Left Calf:
15.0” (0”)
Neck:
15.0” (0”)
Bodyfat:
Electric Handheld: 10.0%.....11.5% (+1.50%)
Calipers 3 Point: 12.79%.....8.89% (-3.90%)
Calipers 7 Point: 15.31%.....9.13% (-6.18%)
You can be the judge by my pictures.
MY WEIGHT:
MY CALORIES:
(AX suggested I drop my calories from 4,000 to 3,500..…I averaged 3,444)
(The days I ate under 3,500 were b/c I was depressed about some girlfriend troubles)
BEFORE (left) & AFTER (right) PICTURES:
GOOD:
Increase in size (see measurements above)
Appear leaner
-----Possibly lost 5% body fat while at same weight
-----That means I lost 10lbs fat & gained 10lbs muscle
-----If that’s true, then this is the best cycle ever
-----However, I’m not sure how accurate measures are
Big increase in strength
-----Most notably in bench press, squat, and dips
Increased pumps/fullness in biceps
Increased drive for most of cycle
More confident mentality
BAD:
No weight gain (actually lost 1-2 lbs)
-----I assume this is b/c I was losing fat while gaining muscle
-----My average daily calorie intake was 3,444
Possible lose of strength after cycle ended (hope I don’t lose size gains also)
Acne at first week or so then went away
Headaches first few days
Bad mood/irritability first few days
Increased sweating and body temperature
The worst side effect for me:
-----I do cardio before I lift. Once I am in the process of starting to sweat, it feels like bugs are trying to crawl out of my skin. I get tingly and itchy and irritated. This is only when I start sweating initially. Once I have a good sweat going, it goes away (it kind of sucks while it is happening though).
BOTTOM LINE:
This stuff definitely works (gain muscle/strength and lose fat)
-----Possibly a large change in body composition
-----It was incredible getting so much stronger each week
-----I don’t know how much of my gains I will maintain
-----First workout after cycle: bench press was down 15 lbs
-----However second workout: strength didnt drop
Negative sides are nothing to worry about
I’ve never used MFX or HD alone
-----So I don’t know which caused the various effects (good & bad)
It is pretty expensive
-----I used MFX x 5 daily & HD x 4 daily
-----This would cost about $100/month
I enjoyed taking MFX/HD. Since I am not going to us PH/PS/AAS anytime soon, this is probably the best alternative. It is not a cycle that I will run frequently because of the high cost, but it is something I would look into using once (maybe twice) per year to give my training a boost in the right direction. I am very happy about my increased measurements and hope they do not fade away here in the next couple weeks. I also enjoyed the strength gains and the leaner appearance (loss in body fat). I am not too happy at the thought of losing my gains after ending the cycle (we’ll have to see what happens though). Like I said, the negative sides effects are really not a big deal at all and I had no problem putting up with them. I think that I will try this cycle again in the summer for 8 weeks at 4,000+ calories daily and see how I do.
Please feel free to ask me any questions.
THANKS AGAIN, AX!
