This is sad... I am still upright rowing more than I can bench... I need more chest work for sure...
DB Shoulder Press
20 x 5
25 x 5
30 x 5
35 x 5
40 x 5
My delts were toast after these, but I still had side laterals to do left.
Barbell skullcrushers
40 x 10
50 x 10
60 x 5
60 x 5
Whee. My tris were fried after all these presses!
Iso Side-Laterals - Plate-loaded
10 x 10 - LOL, the levers just flew off my arms at the top of the rom.
25 x 2 - Very tough. Probably can't call this a PR but it's more weight nonetheless
15 x 15
My delts were gone after all these presses. Very huge pump in them. As well as my triceps.
Time to eat!

Good to see your deadlift weights going up mate. But i've noticed the last 2 back workouts you've failed repeatedly on deadlift 1rm attempts. My suggestion is to start doing some decent rep work ie 3 - 4 sets of a weight that you can do for 3 - 6 reps.

I was tired last night so I didn't bother putting this entry in then. But it was a hard workout though.
Date: 27-Nov-2006
Time: 18:15 - 19:40
Bodyweight: 174lbs
Squats
95 x 5
115 x 5
135 x 5
145 x 5
185 x 1
195 x 0 - MISSED
The 185 was difficult. I tried doing some singles after my fourth set. I walked out with 195, but I didn't feel stable and the bar wasn't balanced, so I just reracked.
Straight-Leg DeadLift
135 x 5
185 x 5
185 x 5
185 x 5
185 x 5
My grip felt very good, even with the cut on my right thumb. It wasnt bleeding, but the flap of skin hanging from the wound eventually rubbed off from holding the bar. The chalk on my hands helped too. One of the callouses on my right hand started to split open. Not very comfortable at all, but I endured it.
Good Mornings
45 x 10
95 x 5
95 x 5
115 x 5
115 x 5
I was quite tired after these, especially after the last set. My hams were burning up after this exercise!
Someone told me online last night that doing both SLDLs and GMs are redundant. Perhaps, but I like hitting my hams from multiple exercises and these definitely did the job.
Smith Machine Calf Raises - standing on a 6 inch block
135 x 7
185 x 5
205 x 5
225 x 5
255 x 5
275 x 5
Yikes! My calves were pumped up very hard to the point I could barely walk after this, but had one more exercise.
Hanging Leg Raises
BW x 10
BW+25 x 5
BW+25 x 5
BW+25 x 3
I was very exhausted after this.
At one point, I had to use one of the rods I took out of the power rack to stand up with. I was that sore!

Ok, this workout sucked. I already had a bad weekend losing my job. Those rack pulls the only good thing to come out of this weekend thus far. I still got alot of anger and frustration built up. Maybe I can kick my own ass in my bench press or something....

Nice Ozz, looking forward to seeing you hit 315 on deads, hopefully you figure out your squats again. Maybe you should try doing them twice a week?
"i dont know man i try to maintain low bw and gain stregth because what good is stregth if your using half of it to move your body. high stregth plus low body weight equals intense explosion. i think a guy like irish kid or gray horse would mess bs up in a fight due to kickness and probably better punch stregth explosion. i still wouldnt wanna fight bser though hed wreck me due to the size advantage and my legs arent up to par to make me a stregth conter" Sickonstorm

185 x 5

245 x 1
275 x 1
285 x 1
295 x 1
300 x 1
Damn! I was on fire today. The 300lb pull though was hitched. But my form on 295 was solid. So, I'm not going over 300 until I can pull it without hitching it.

Arms were very vascular.

I usually dont train to failure intentionally. Sometimes, I dont have a spot (i.e. Bench press). But with my rows, pullups, and deadlifts, I tend to train to failure on those.
Thank you.
Yeah, it definitely wasn't clean... it was almost as bad as DW's hitching admittedly...
I think getting several job offers just today and yesterday contributed to my lifting today.
